Romney First To Denounce Ahmadinejad's WTC Request
Mitt Romney has managed the impossible: To beat Rudy Giuliani at 9/11-related campaign rhetoric. Romney issued this press release regarding Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's request to visit the World Trade Center site:
"Ahmadinejad's shockingly audacious request should be met with a vehement no. It's inconceivable that any consideration would be given to the idea of entertaining the leader of a state sponsor of terror at Ground Zero. This would deeply offend the sensibilities of Americans from all corners of our nation. Instead of entertaining Ahmadinejad, we should be indicting him."

I guess it doesn't really matter if it's a missed opportunity to defuse tensions, engage in open discourse and humanize the discourse if it makes Americans look wimpy. If we ever want to beat the terrorists, we must continue flex our national pectorals.

he is a lying matinet that will say anything if he thinks it will get him elected. how squallid the republicans have become. romney and his sons should volunteer for military duty in iraq.
romney is a bloated, whimpering pig.
We should be indicting him?
Indictment is for lily-livered little pieces of crap like Romney. Lil Willard probably studied peace and justice at Harvard. A real man would hunt Ahmadinejad down and rip his head off.

Iranians are Shiites, not Sunnis. That's why Al-Maliki is allied with Iran.
Sunni Wahabi Islam is from Saudi Arabia, having grown out of the Muslim Brotherhood (in Egypt).
You should do at least some research before making wild 9/11 claims.
@Seanh - Romney make be a flip-flopping, pandering douchebag, but Ahmadinejad isn't interested in real talks with the U.S. He's just as much of a flip-flopping, pandering douchebag, but with a beard.

independenthinkerdude: it's possible that you can read 'benjoya's comment in two ways. as serious, like you did and called him on it, or as sarcasm, as i did and that it's rather witty.
this world is a serious and effed up place to begin with so a little levity at others expense is sorely needed. oh and anything that roasts bush in any way whatsoever is completely fine by me.
independentthinkerdude:
Almost there. Wahabbi Islam has its roots in the teachings of Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab, an 18th century Arabian Peninsula theologian.
The Muslim Brotherhood did indeed originate in Egypt, founded in 1928 by Hassan El Banna. MB is heavily funded by Wahabbis in S/A.
As an aside, Saudi Arabia is the true state sponsor of terror, Mitt.
