Rudy: Hillary And Obama Would Invite Osama Over

During a New Hampshire town hall, Rudy Giuliani took his foreign-policy rhetoric against the Democrats to new heights — saying that Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama are such wild-eyed optimists that they would want to invite Osama bin Laden over to the White House.

"This is the world we live in. It's not this happy, romantic-like world where we'll negotiate with this one, or we'll negotiate with that one and there will be no preconditions, and we'll invite Ahmadinejad to the White House, we'll invite Osama to the White House," said Giuliani.

"Hillary and Obama are kind of debating whether to invite them to the inauguration or the inaugural ball."

I hope the Horse's Mouth will do a follow-up on this one to see if anyone in the MSM calls Rudy out on his bull.

If you click on the linky thing, you'll notice that he declares that if we didn't invade Iraq, we'd be dealing with two nuclear threats now instead of just Iran. I'm reminded of Steven Colbert's comment at that Radio dinner or whatever it was, about The Chimp. Something about him still believing the same thing on Wednesday that he believed on Monday.....no matter what happened on Tuesday !

Blue, don't hold your breath. Has any MSM called out mr. 9/11 or her majesty on anything? Nope.

Michael,

True in general, but Greg did an interesting piece a few days ago on the WaPo fact-checking some other Rudy silliness. It would be nice to keep the "serial exaggerator/confabulator" drumbeat.

I read it and it was good; however, where is the rest of the media??? Where is the pressing at he debates??? Mr. 9/11 is a fool and a fraud; however, the media keeps treating him with kid gloves. When is 9/12 going to get here??? It seems like 9/11 has lasted for an eternity.

The saddest part of this, people will actually believe him.

colonpowwow wrote on October 30, 2007 11:15 AM:

Ha ha, Rudy, man!

Just the kind of over-the-top thing that Hillary can indignently smash him in the mouth with if they both end up in a Presidental debate together next fall.

Obama in 2016!

Colon, nah, she'll probably waffle and say that she has to study the issue or that she doesn't want to take a position right now so as not to offend anyone or . . . I'm sure she'll come up with something so that she doesn't have to take a position or say anything affirmative. That's your boss for you.

This has been all over the globe Tuesday, and still I have not read a corrected version of the story.

Did no one actually listen to the clip of that part of Giuliani's speech?

Please go back and check it:
It was very clear to me that Giuliani said "and we’ll invite Ahmadinejad to the White House, we’ll invite ASSAD to the White House..."

He did not say "Osama". It was an apparent oblique reference to some of the candidates answers to a question at the July 23 Democratic Debate in Charleston, SC. Obama said he would meet with leaders like Assad and Ahmadinejad, with some caveats, but no solid preconditions. Clinton said she would not meet with them in her first year, under any circumstances.

Well if you're gonna bad mouth Rudy (and I'm not a supporter) then you should at least look at what he said and get the quote right!
