I was very disappointed in Senator Rockafeller's position on this important issue. In recent years he has been willing to give this president the benefit of the doubt. I think it is about time to demand more from this president. His words are not the same as his actions and we in the middle of this country understand this. I am glad to see that you are not taking the words of an administration who has consistently lied to the American People, but are questioning their motives.
Thank you.

I sent him a donation as well. I hope a lot of people do. Not only because it would be good for Dodd (whom I like a great deal), but because it would send a message to those Democratic Senators who can't seem to get it through their heads that we elected them to stop this sort of abuse of our civil liberties.

I hope this sends a message to all of the candidates and members of Congress that there is a real concern in America about the erosion of our rights.
Thank you Senator Dodd.

Thank You, You for having the courage to protect our constitutional rights.
Liane Norman wrote on October 20, 2007 4:03 PM:Dodd's got my vote at this point. I, too, sent him a contribution. It would be nice if other Democratic candidates got it--that we're tired of cowards playing it safe. In our near-death brush with fascism--and I hope it's only near death--we need people willing to commit themselves clearly and fully. Thank you, Senator Dodd.
mtrav wrote on October 21, 2007 2:03 PM:Finally, a Democrat stands up for our constitutional rights! I've been waiting, way too long, but I'm happy Senator Dodd is standing up! Filibuster them silly. Filibuster until they're embarrassed as they should be for having supported something as disgusting as retroactive immunity for simple, clear lawbreaking! They knew it when they did it, now let them pay the consequences.
