Rudy's Cancer Argument Debunked — By The Data's Original Source
Rudy Giuliani's use of statistics on prostate cancer have now been debunked by an interesting outlet — this time their original source. The Boston Globe reports that the Commonwealth Fund, an independent think tank, has disowned Rudy's use of their numbers to argue that British survival rates for prostate cancer are under 50%.
Rudy advisor Dr. David Gratzer made the argument several years ago, based on Commonwealth statistics. But Commonwealth actually say their methodology was to look at the number of diagnoses and compare that with the number of deaths per year from prostate cancer — not to actually measure the five-year survival rate for a diagnosis, as Gratzer and the Giuliani campaign have been representing.
And what's more, Gratzer's source data was out-dated, using numbers from ten years ago.

Guess the same way Romney was elected as the gov of Mass. I hope the dems will finally get out next year & vote or take advantage of the absentee option for a change. The repubs are by far a minority, but, they vote! If they win elections, it's because non-repug's let them!

Staten Island voted for GOP 75%, an astonishing number.

And, as he was not beholden to the usual big city special interest groups, he was actually able to manage the city.
Secondly, the crime rate in NYC dropped dramatically during Rudy's tenure (as it did across the US). Whether that was due to his police chief, Clinton's increase in fed dollars for police, or freakonomics is open to debate. Nevertheless, Rudy got the credit for it.

The NYPD held signs calling Dinkins a washroom attendance and janitor and Rudy was on the bullhorn egging them on and calling Mayor Dinkins all sort of derogative names. The bias in the media is frighting, Rudy is a bigot and he is a nasty man. If anyone has nexux/lexus, you can google these stories but I guess they are not against the Dems. The media seems to be scared of the "Gay old Party" (GOP)
