Edwards Mailer In New Hampshire Features Mill-Worker Father

John Edwards has dropped some lit in New Hampshire featuring his father, the mill-worker, and his mother, who worked in a shop and post office, as part of his pitch that he's the candidate to strengthen the middle class:

Meanwhile, Ben Smith has lit being sent out in Iowa on Edwards' behalf by Caucus4Priorities, a key Edwards endorser. Our full mailer after the jump.

The caucus4priorities endorsement should help Edwards. I see a lot of their signs and bumper stickers in Iowa City, though I don't know if its the same outside the university towns.

Of course, you could say almost the same thing about President Bush: "George has spent his entire life fighting for people like those he grew up with, taking on regular Americans on behalf of big corporations and special interests."

I am so sick of EDWARDS thick ego put on southern accent.

And I am sick of his factory working father.

Edwards is a phoney -

Most everyone I know here in N.H.
is voting Obama.

Edwards is the real deal. I live in Iowa and have seen him many times starting in 2003. He combines brilliance and foresight with intense compassion gained from walking in the same shoes many Americans have walked in.

Worth of note, he also polls better when matched with all Republican candidates than does any other Democratic candidate. This includes the media anointed frontrunners.

He misplaced those shoes

He now wears 2000.00 dollar wingtips
the same kind you see on most fashionable trial lawyers -

to go along with his newscaster haircuts

I don't care how much his shoes or haircuts cost. I know he won't break America's bank by starting wars of choice or cutting taxes for the top 1% of Americans. I know he won't saddle my kids and their kids and their kids with avoidable debt. I know that he'll use that Southern accent and all the smarts behind it to engage the world diplomatically.

It amuses me that people trash him for his financial success. I really don't get it.

I'll vote for him and will do whatever I can to get others to do the same.

Peace.

In my opinion, a son of a millworker who can now afford a $400 haircut is someone to be reckoned with. A person like that who is willing to fight for those less fortunate is a rare treasure indeed.
Warren Buffet is another guy who can afford a $400 haircut who helps the less fortunate, and Bill Gates (whether or not they get the haircut I do not know).
I back Edwards because he knows when to fight and when to settle. Hillary seems inclined to negotiate on everything, and Obama doesn't show a lot of fight. Great ideas, but will he fight for us?
I like Dodd and Biden, and have enormous respect for Kucinich and Gravel for saying their pieces in the face of difficulty. But I am backing Edwards.

You know, Trent in N.H., smart, successful people tend to have nice things. Edwards is a smart, successful person, and yet, time and again this is viewed by people like you and the mainstream media as a BAD THING. Huh?

Of course Edwards has a very large, nice home, wears expensive clothes, and pays quite a lot for haircuts on the road. He's worked for it. None of these material things has any effect on either his compassion for the poor or whether or not he'd be good for America.

And Edwards would be fantastic for America. His policies are smart and plausible, his motivations seem pure, and, above all, he's very electable.

Nothing against Clinton (who was, herself, a VERY successful lawyer) or Obama, they're great candidates, too, but to my mind, Edwards' positions on the most important issues we'll face in the coming years are much more in alignment with my own. But all we ever hear about is $400 haircuts and his house. This obsession with his wealth is a profound disservice to an excellent candidate who is, generally speaking, no more wealthy than any of the other candidates running for our highest political office.

It's getting down to it and from my front-row seat here in iced-in Iowa I can't help but notice the drivel frothed by those posters above who aren't fortunate enough (or whacked enough?) to live in Iowa during a political year.

Keep your eye on the ball folks... if you happen to support HRC or Obama >great. But for the love of Mike will you put some brain-power into the issues and the candidates position relative to those issues and the ability of each candidate to deliver... PLEASE.

Who wants to read your pouting over individual wealth or haircuts?

It's the future stupid!
