Romney Ad: I Can Strengthen Michigan

Mitt Romney has a new ad running in the land of his birth, Michigan, talking about his concerns regarding the state's economy — and using footage from the Dearborn debate back in October:

By running the ad here, Romney may be shoring himself up against the Huckabee insurgency — a recent poll showed the two of them tied here. Michigan's primary will be held one week after New Hampshire, so it's important to be ready to go, and have good poll numbers ready in advance.

Sorry, I have to call bullsh*t on Mitt! Saw his pathetic commercial air for the first time last night, and my partner and I just shook our heads in disgust.

WTF does he know about turning around and economy as bleak as Michigan's? Oh, I know - he'll tax cut us into recovery! Of course.

Stupid wank. Why there isn't as much chatter about his ridiculously blown-dry coif as there is about John Edwards remains a sense of bafflement to me.

Romney's father's ship left the harbor here a long time ago, and the majority of folks in the populated parts of this blue state just can't help but thinking: "Um, who are you again?"

Oh wait - maybe I can just go to streets of Detroit and ask people who live there, because he marched with Martin Luther King Jr., after all...
