Report: Schwarzenegger To Endorse McCain
It's looking like John McCain will get another huge endorsement in a major Super Tuesday state. Newsweek reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger will likely endorse McCain soon after tonight's debate at the Reagan Library.
CNN also has the news, reporting that the endorsement will officially come within the next 48 hours.
Late Update: It's confirmed. Arnold will endorse McCain tomorrow.

So I don't think it helps

He is hovering around 38% approval in the last la times poll just one week ago.
He is responsible for the huge deficit out here now -
much larger then when he took office.
MACMENTUM!!! John McCain is on a roll!

Sigh. And I was really looking forward to some plays on the words "I'll be back"...
I've got Mac?
I be Mac?
Mac's back?
"I won't be back"

Maybe he was waiting for Rudy to drop out.
Start focusing on 2012 and Congress this time around, peeps....

Schwarzenegger does not need the Republican party. That party needs him.
Note that he gets a pass from the right wing blowhards when he takes unorthodox positions. I have not heard the right wing blowhards attack him.
He is in fact independent - a Wagnerian hero, a Siegfried, for all you opera fans.
He endorses McCain for his own reasons - maybe he sees some advantage in doing so. But he does not seek the approval of Republican party officials.
Does the governor want to be a senator some day ?

Your analysis shows an awful naiveté: Arnold was close to both Rudy and McCain. As a result, he didn't endorse until he could do so without offending someone.
Rudy was out as of today, Arnold will endorse tomorrow.
That's pretty damned quick in my book.
Can we raise the level of analysis, please? Politicians are not dumb: they may make bad judgments, but nothing is happenstance in campaign of this level.
It shocks me that Schwarzenegger would back McCain. He seemed to like Huckabee's responses the best.
Romney was right. McCain LIED about his statement on withdrawing. McCain also ducked other questions. He smirked constantly and looked for 'help' (or was it approval) from the audience repeadedly.
CNN's Anderson Cooper continuely avoided asking questions of Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul.
While I would never vote for ANY of these candidates, I believe that if Huckabee had been given more 'time' that the debate would have been tied between Romney and Huckabee.
John McCain was rude and STUCK on his WAR issue. Probably because he knows nothing else.
