Let's see, the polls show a wide lead for Romney a couple of days before the primary.

So what you're saying is, if McCain gets slightly emotional meeting with laid off GM workers tomorrow, then he will turn this thing around?

Or is it the soon to be named "Romney effect" where voters say they will vote for the young (comparatively) phony guy , but in the end, vote for the crusty old guy?

We'll see on Tuesday

Looks like Kos's effort is already reaping dividends!

So even after NH, these polls are still news?

This is great news! Whatever happens in Michigan, Romney's campaign is toast. But luckily Romney is sleazy enough to pull out the knives against the other candidates if he thinks he's still in the race.

Of course, they've shown a clear willingness to stab back, perhaps scoring temporary points with primary voters, but in the big picture, making themselves look like petty asses.

I'm not the only Democrat who's loving this! I suggest you check out Kos's endorsement of Romney in Michigan, and his excellent argument for why we Michigan Democrats should vote for Romney. Let's drag this out!

Better make that three. From PolicalWire:

A new McClatchy/MSNBC poll in Michigan shows Mitt Romney leading Sen. John McCain, 30% to 22%, with Mike Huckabee at 17%.

This is getting interesting.

I didn't realize it but Romney actually leads the Republican race in the delegate count so far, with 30 (27 pledged, 3 super) to McCain's 21. No one payed much attention to the Wyoming caucuses but Romney got more delegates from WY than McCain did in NH. The two second place finishes didn't helped too, since neither were winner-take-all primaries (which Republican party rules permit but Democrats do not).

Did you happen to see who won the other caucus votes in Wyoming? I happened to check in an article at the Casper Wyoming newspaper, and the results were Romney, followed by Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson. That should tell you all you need to know about the quality of Romney's 'win' there. Romney beat out 'who?' & 'huh?'. BTW, one of Romney's boys has property there.

How about some real reporting on the turnouts at the Republican events? Or the differences in registration between Ds and Rs in Michigan? How about an analysis of the issues that matter to Michigan voters? OK, there have been some stories showing the economy is #1 in the state with the worst unemployment. Does anyone seriously think that whichever rich white guy Republican candidate wins there really matters in November? Just because the Michigan state Democratic party leadership screwed their voters in the primaries doesn't mean the voters are going to love the party that gave them the current situation. I refuse to believe that most people are that stupid.

This is a link that everyone needs to see about Huckabee's record in AR and it is also very funny.

Wild prediction: Romney v. Obama in the general. If you listen very carefully, that's the way the wind's blowing.

Isn't Clinton the Republican that's supposed to win Michigan?

Libs are funny. As a Romney supporter, we'll take a win any way we can get it. He is by far the best candidate. He is smarter, more successful, more accomplished and is absolutely honest in all he does.

Go Mitt!
